Betsey Carter Ceramics (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit betseycarter.com, shop with us, contact us, or sign up to receive our emails.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
Identifiers, such as your name, email address, postal address, telephone number, account information, and IP address.
Commercial information, such as products viewed, placed in a cart, purchased, returned, or saved; order details; and purchase history.
Internet or other electronic network activity, such as browser and device information, pages viewed, referring URLs, cookie identifiers, and interactions with the site or emails.
Approximate location information inferred from an IP address.
Communications and user-provided content, such as messages, product questions, reviews, custom-order details, and responses to surveys or emails.
Payment-related information. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment processor; we do not intentionally store full payment-card numbers.
We collect this information directly from you, automatically through your browser or device, and from service providers that help us operate the store, process payments, ship orders, host the site, send email, and measure site performance.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to process and deliver orders; communicate about an order or inquiry; provide customer support; send marketing emails when you have opted in; maintain and improve the site; prevent fraud and misuse; comply with legal obligations; and protect our business and customers.
How We Disclose Information
We disclose personal information only as needed to operate the shop and fulfill your order, including to Squarespace, payment processors, shipping carriers, email-service providers, analytics providers, and professional advisers when necessary. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property. We do not sell personal information for money.
We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. See “Your Privacy Choices” below.

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and, if enabled, measure marketing performance. See our Cookie & Tracking Notice for more detail and choices.
California Privacy Notice
This section applies to California residents. In the preceding 12 months, we collected the categories described in “Information We Collect” above for the business and commercial purposes described in “How We Use Information.” We disclosed identifiers, commercial information, internet/network activity, approximate location, and communications to the categories of service providers described in “How We Disclose Information,” as necessary to run the store and fulfill orders.
California residents may have the right to request access to or deletion of personal information, request correction of inaccurate personal information, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information where applicable, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable, and receive equal service and price when exercising these rights. Some rights are subject to exceptions and verification requirements.

Please tell us which right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to verify your request. Authorized agents may submit requests on behalf of California residents, subject to verification and proof of authorization. You may also designate an authorized agent to exercise rights on your behalf.
If we sell or share personal information as defined by California law, we will provide a “Your Privacy Choices” link and honor opt-out requests, including a valid browser-based Global Privacy Control signal, where required.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to that setting, this site does not respond to Do Not Track signals. We do, however, recognize a valid Global Privacy Control signal as described above when legally required.
Data Retention and Security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including order fulfillment, record-keeping, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, but no online transmission or storage system is completely secure.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
